Adult Learning Cardiff offer a range of flexible learning opportunities that are designed to support learners to take their first steps back into learningand to assist them to progress to further learning, training or employment.

Online Courses

Adult Learning Cardiff offer a range of online learning opportunities that are designed to support individuals to take their first steps back into learning and to assist them to progress to further learning, training or employment. Courses include:

  • Health and Social Care
  • Digital Skills and Technology
  • Animation and Programming
  • Food Skills for Work
  • Employability Skills
  • Short Pre-Employability Courses

These Welsh Government funded courses are offered free to eligible learners and include a range of IT courses as well as courses that assist with the development of skills for those looking for work in childcare, hospitality or retail.

Individuals aged 16 years and above who are eligible to enrol on these courses include:

  • those who are not currently in education, training or employment and are in receipt of state benefits or support (excluding state retirement pension)
  • those aged 50 plus who are not in full-time employment.

We also welcome enrolments from those with few or no formal qualifications. Referrals from Third Sector organisations and charities who are supporting individuals back into education are also welcome.

Courses are online only and will be delivered using Microsoft Teams and/or Google Classrooms. You will need to set up a google account with a Gmail address so you can access Google Classrooms.

We offer help with any digital training needs, digital device support and digital queries.
