Anna Elliot
July 2, 2019Anna left school after completing her ‘A’ levels. She enrolled on an Environmental Conservation course at Bangor University. Due to the impact of mental ill-health and feeling lonely and isolated, Anna left University before completing her second year.
Anna felt that her medical health issues at this time impeded her chances of employment. Anna still wanted to continue learning and improving skills, but she preferred to return to learning in a discrete and supportive environment.
She enrolled on an accredited “Introduction to Creative Writing as a Career” DICE course. Anna soon gained confidence and self- belief in her ability. After achieving the Agored qualification for this course. Anna was ready to progress onto a higher level. Her tutor was very supportive and inspired Anna to enrol on a suitable University course.
Anna succeeded in gaining an unconditional offer to join the second year at Liverpool Hope University. After two years, Anna achieved her degree and is now in full-time employment.
